Director David Lee Fisher draws on director Robert Wiene's 1920 German classic film in which Francis (Judson Pierce Morgan) and Alan (Neil Hopkins) visit the fair in Holstewall, Germany, where they meet hypnotist Dr. Caligari (Daamen J. Krall) in his tent. Caligari awakens a sleepwalker, Cesare (Doug Jones), who predicts that Alan has only one day to live. Within 24 hours, Alan is stabbed to death, and Francis sets out to investigate.
