Blondie takes over for Dagwood when he quits his job at the office and goes on a fishing trip. Blondie asks Dithers to give Dagwood another chance, and he agrees if Dagwood will fill in at the office while he is in Washington. Blondie fills in for Dagwood and gets film of Dagwood saving Francine (Dorothy Comingore) when their boat overturns. Dithers sees the pictures and wants to buy some land in the area, but it is supposed to be the site of a new airport. And the fun continues.
