Best movie I have ever seen. Complex intertwining of the fates of artists from each of the theatres of WW2. Much human passion, plenty of tragedy, expert artistic performances and a convincing fictional portrayal of the history of the period.

Look at me Dot 04/20/2010
I loved Helen Mirren in this movie. She was bold and exquisite in her attitude. She captivated me, I could not stop watching this movie. As bazarr as it was. I loved everything about Helen Mirren. I loved the clothes she wore. The way she walked and the way she tipped away like a femme fatale, secretly meeting her lover. Her lover in that same old stale brown suit, day after day. Her husband so obscene in his lack of class and manners during dinner. I wish this movie would come on cable. I have been awaiting to see it, but nothing. So I am renting it from the County Library. This is a must see! Fabulous! Brilliant and funny! Bravo to Helen Mirren!
