Sophisticated jewel thief Sir Charles Lytton (David Niven), a.k.a. the Phantom, is plotting to steal the Pink Panther diamond from Princess Dala (Claudia Cardinale), and French Inspector Jacques Cousteau (Peter Sellers) is on his trail. Clouseau is also trying to catch Lytton's accomplice who, unbeknownst to Clouseau, is his own wife Simone (Capucine). For years, Simone has warned her lover Lytton when Clouseau is about to catch him. Now another thief appears on the scene; he is Lytton's nephew George (Robert Wagner), and he has his own plans to steal the Pink Panther diamond. Clouseau may be inept, but the odds are in his favor that he will be successful in retrieving the Pink Panther diamond. 1 User Review
