When he learns that Hedy has other plans, her uncle convinces an Air Force pilot (John Carroll) to fake an injury and have Hedy treat him. The plot works but not without complications.

Doctor Watson (Nigel Bruce) and Inspector Lestrade (Dennis Hoey) are helping Holmes protect the diamond. Holmes switches diamonds with Margaret, but after Roland is killed, and the fake diamond is stolen, Holmes, Watson, and Lestrade set out to solve the mystery.
