Russ Ashton's (Tom Neal) detective agency is hired to provide baby-sitting duties for a duke and duchess (George Meeker and Rebel Randall), and Russ assigns his inept, but funny, assistant, Harvard (Allen Jenkins), to the job. But the duke and duchess are really jewel thieves, and a rival gang wants loot from the last heist, which brings Russ into action. Filmed concurrently with "The Hat Box Mystery" with several of the same stars.
