  Incompetent British diplomat Carlton-Browne (Terry-Thomas) is placed in charge of a British protectorate in this satire on a cog in the British colonial system. The purpose of Carlton-Browne's assignment is to prevent foreign powers from taking a rich mineral deposit that has been discovered on the island of Gaillardia. World powers do appear on the scene, and, when matters spin out of control with young King Loris (Ian Bannen) as ruler, the Prime Minister of the island, Amphibulos (Peter Sellers), undermines him and leads a revolution to overthrow the British.

  American nuclear physicist Peter Standish (Tyrone Power) is working in England and living in an 18th-century mansion he inherited from an ancestor. One rainy evening, Peter is strolling in the neighborhood when he is hit by lightening. He awakens transported back into the 18th century and is now his own ancestor. While "living" in the past, he meets and falls in love with his cousin Helen (Ann Blyth) and uses his scientific knowledge to help improve 18th-century living conditions. Another thunderstorm shoots Peter back to the 20th century, and he learns from old, family documents that Helen had died before ever marrying. Now his friend Roger (Michael Rennie) introduces him to his sister Martha (also played by Ann Blyth) who looks just like Helen, and Peter and Martha instantly fall in love. This film begins in black and white, and then switches to color when Peter awakens in the 18th century.

  This film provides great satire on the world of labor/management relations. His incompetence is noticed by his fellow workers, but he gets sympathy from union official Fred Kate (Peter Sellers). Then, Stanley really messes up and finds that he has been set up by his uncle and is now in the middle of a scheme by his uncle to control his workers.

  This is a good remake of the 1932 original Boris Karloff film. The story is about an archaeological dig during which British archaeologist John Banning (Peter Cushing) desecrates the tomb of Princess Ananka (Yvonne Furneaux) and awakens Ananka's lover Kharis (Christopher Lee) who was buried with her. Kharis, the Mummy, returns to life and follows Banning back to England to seek revenge. Dire consequences ensue when Kharis finds that Banning's wife (also played by Furneaux) very closely resembles Ananka.

Wormold's reputation accelerates, and–in spite of his false reports–he actually performs a service for Britain.

  Charles Laughton is excellent in his role of the famed Dutch painter, Rembrandt. The film covers the last three decades of the painter's life during which he had three wives. After his first wife dies, Rembrandt marries his housekeeper Geertje (Gertrude Lawrence) but that doesn't work when he turns to his maid Hendrickje (Elsa Lanchester), and Geertje leaves him. Hendrickje becomes pregnant, and they marry, but she dies. However, during the decades covered in the story, Rembrandt paints some of his most creative work.
