Problems rise to the fore when the gold commissioner, Alexander McNamara (Randolph Scott), conspires to take over the rights to the mines in the area. A legal fight appears to be impossible, and the result is a bar-room brawl in which Glennister and McNamara fight for the rights to the mine.
