Peter does not shine at male bonding and has no male friends. Hoping to help Peter, Zooey urges him to reach out and try to find male friends, hoping he will find a Best Man in the process. Peter picks up on Zooey's suggestion and meets Sydney Fife (Jason Segel). They hit it off–maybe too well because now Peter and Sydney become inseparable, which, of course, causes a problem with Peter's relationship with Zooey.
