Director: Randall Wallace Cast: Mel Gibson, Madeleine Stowe, Sam Elliott, Greg Kinnear, Chris Klein, Josh Daugherty, Barry Pepper, Keri Russell, Edwin Morrow, Mike White, Duong Don, Ryan Hurst, Robert Bagnell, Marc Blucas, Jsu Garcia
This film is based on a book co-written by Lt. Gen. Harold Moore, who led the First Battalion into the first all-out battle in Vietnam, and UPI reporter Joseph L. Galloway who was also present. While the action scenes of battle are fierce, the characters are well developed. Both U.S. and enemy troops have personal sides apart from that of soldiering. An insightful story.
