  This made-for-TV remake of the popular story is set in modern times. Heidi (Katy Kurtzman) is living in the Swiss Alps with her beloved Grandfather (Burl Ives) who is going blind. After Grandfather wanders away from the cabin and is lost, Heidi is sent to live with her friend Elizabeth's (Sherrie Wills) relatives in NYC where she enjoys the holidays in New York at Elizabeth's family mansion. When Heidi returns to the Swiss Alps after the holidays, she is reunited with Grandfather who is now totally blind. Elizabeth's father, Dan Wyler (John Gavin), takes him to Zurich where a surgeon restores his eyesight. Now, their problem is solved, and Heidi and Grandfather happily return to the Swiss Alps. The story is complemented by several original songs.

  Two more episodes of the series are presented on this DVD. "This Side of Paradise" (aired 3/2/1967, stardate 3417.3)-All is pleasant for the colonists on Omicron Ceti III, and the Enterprise crew, upon visiting the planet, also gets a dose of the pleasantness. But the spores that cause the happy-go-lucky attitudes aren't doing any favors for the people and must be overcome. "The Devil in the Dark" (aired 3/9/1967, stardate 3196.1)-The Enterprise is sent to Janus VI where a creature is killing miners working in the tunnels. Kirk and company save the day as they find out the answers to what's going on.

  Two more episodes of the classic series are presented on this DVD. "Metamorphosis" (aired 11/10/1967, stardate 3219.4)-While attempting to bring a Federation executive with a rare and deadly disease back to the Enterprise via the shuttle, the shuttle is drawn off-course and lands on a small planet. A cloud creature is the cause of the redirecting of the shuttle and also responsible for providing eternal youth for a 100-year-old space pioneer. All of Kirk's skills are needed to ensure the healing of the executive. "Friday's Child" (aired 12/1/1967, stardate 3497.2)-The Enterprise is sent to negotiate with the warlike inhabitants of Capella IV, but wait, the evil Klingons want the planet themselves, and a revolt ensues. Now Kirk and McCoy are stuck there and must fight the battle alone.

  Two episodes of the popular series are presented in this DVD. "Bread and Circuses" (aired 3/15/1968, stardate 4040.7)-After finding the wreckage of a starship near Planet 892-IV, a landing party (Kirk, Spock, and McCoy) is beamed to the planet to investigate. They find a civilization similar to the Roman Empire and are added to the list of people destined to fight in gladiator games! Not liking this sort of game, they must act–NOW! "Journey to Babel" (aired 11/17/1967, stardate 3842.3)-The Enterprise is given the task of transporting ambassadors to Babel for an important conference. All sorts of problems arise, including attack by a mysterious ship, arguments between ambassadors, murder, Kirk getting wounded, and Spock's father (an ambassador) needing a a blood transfusion from his estranged son. It wears one out, doesn't it?

  Two episodes of the second season are presented in this DVD. "Obsession" (aired 12/15/1967, stardate 3619.2)-Kirk encounters a former enemy, a deadly cloud, that had killed half the crew of an airship that Kirk was on. Despite being on an important mission, Kirk is obsessed with the need to destroy the enemy cloud–which draws red blood cells from humans. A tough task lies ahead for Kirk. "The Immunity Syndrome" (aired 1/19/1968, stardate 4307.1)-While on a mission to investigate why contact has been lost with a solar system, Spock's sensitive senses pick up signals that a starship manned by Vulcans has been destroyed. It turns out that a huge one-celled creature has wiped out that ship and the solar system, which it needs as food. Having now eaten well, it is ready to reproduce–and that would be REALLY bad! It looks as though the Enterprise crew has its work cut out for it.

  Two episodes from the second season are presented in this DVD. "Return to Tomorrow" (aired 2/9/1968, stardate 4768.3)-An Enterprise landing party on a dead planet finds three living entities that have no bodies, but only show as lights within a globe. The entities want to "borrow" the bodies of Kirk, Spock, and Dr. Mulhall so they can build androids to house themselves. One reverts to his old ways of being an enemy to the other, poisons Kirk's body, and refuses to give Spock's body back. How will the crew handle this fine kettle of fish? "Patterns of Force" (aired 2/16/1968, stardate 2534.0)-During a routine visit to the planet Ekos, the Enterprise is fired on with a nuclear missile–a technology that the inhabitants were not expected to have. Kirk and Spock are beamed down and find a planet of Nazis led by a zealot who intends to expand his influence to a nearby, peaceful planet. A tough assignment for the Enterprise crew!

  Two of the weaker episodes from the third season are presented. "Spock's Brain" (aired 9/20/1968, stardate 5431.4)-The Enterprise comes across another starship, which beams a woman on board. She is able to place all crew members in an unconscious state and steals Spock's brain. Now the race is on to recover the brain before Spock's body dies. The search leads the crew to an underground culture of women. "Is There No Truth in Beauty?" (aired 10/18/1968, stardate 5630.7)-The Enterprise is assigned to transport Kollos, a Medusan ambassador, to his spaceship. Dr. Miranda Jones is also on board to make telepathic contact with Kollos in order to learn of Medusan technology and then adapt it for Federation use. Medusans, though of kind hearts, are hideous creatures physically, and to look at one will drive a person insane. Things get out of hand when jealousy rears its ugly head.

  Two episodes from the classic series are presented in this DVD. "The Empath" (aired 12/6/1968, stardate 5121.0)-The Enterprise heads to a planet in the Minara system to pick up a team of researchers before Minara explodes. But the researchers had vanished, and now the Enterprise landing party follows suit. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy find themselves imprisoned and are to be used in an experiment (that had resulted in the death of the researchers). Will the empath (a mute woman with great healing powers) be able to help? "The Tholian Web" (aired 11/15/1968, stardate 5693.4)-The Enterprise is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a starship. They find it, and a landing party discovers that all are dead–apparently from violence. A power loss on the Enterprise results in Kirk being left on the starship, which drifts in and out of another dimension. Meanwhile, Spock must deal with the reduced power, caused by a Tholian ship; a threat by the Tholians to destroy Enterprise; recovering Kirk; and a crew that is going insane. Poor Spock.
