Then the guests become murder victims, one by one. From an Agatha Christie story, this was remade several times as "Ten Little Indians." This one, however, remains one of the best.

  This remake of "Waterloo Bridge" stars Leslie Caron as ballerina Gaby, and John Kerr stars as the soldier Greg who fall in love amidst bombings of London during World War II. Before they can marry, Greg must leave for the V-Day invasion. When Gaby hears that Greg is missing in action and is presumed dead, her life changes, and she becomes a "loose woman." Greg shows up alive, and now Gaby will not marry him because she cannot tell him about her sexual encounters experienced when he was away. But, Gaby finally confesses, and Greg forgives her.

Ellen's niece Kitty (Merle Oberon) is a music-hall actress, and Scotland Yard Inspector John Warwick (George Sanders) is in love with her. Ellen tells Warwick of her suspicions, and, heeding Ellen's warnings, Warwick works to solve the murders. Good performances and lots of chills. Remade as "Man in the Attic."

In all, the film received eight Oscars and was nominated for four others, including Best Supporting Actor (Stanley Holloway) and Supporting Actress (Gladys Cooper).

  For thrill seekers of the OLD days past.. this is a great haunted house movie with just enough thrill of the haunt to it for any movie lover!
