Suave thief Corey (Alaine Delon) is released from prison at the same time that criminal Vogel (Gian Maria Volonte) escapes from custody. After Corey robs his mob boss Rico (Andre Ekyan), he teams up with Vogel and sharpshooter Jansen (Yves Montand) to pull off a sophisticated jewel heist. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Mattei (Bourvil), from whom Vogel escaped, will do anything to bring the thieves to justice, with the mob boss also in the hunt. A great heist film.
