Middle-aged housewife Francesca (Meryl Streep) is alone in her home in the farmlands of Madison County, Iowa, while her husband and children are visiting the fair. Along comes "National Geographics" photographer Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood) who is taking pictures of covered bridges. Francesca and Robert meet, are attracted to each other, and begin a four-day love affair that never ends in their memories–as Francesca's children (Annie Corley and Victor Slezak) learn when they return home for Francesca's funeral and discover her diary. 1 User Review
