The Bourne Identity 1988 TV, 185 min. Genre: Adventure / Thriller / Drama / Mystery
Director: Roger Young Cast: Richard Chamberlain, Jaclyn Smith, Yorgo Voyagis, Anthony Quayle, Peter Vaughan, Donald Moffat, Denholm Elliott, Bruce Boa, James Faulkner, James Laurenson, Ted Maynard, Sylvia Marriott, Michael Habeck, Wolf Kahler, Philip Madoc
Jason Bourne (Richard Chamberlain) washes ashore near a French village. He had been shot several times, but a retired doctor brings him back to health. The problem: Jason does not have any idea who he is or what happened to him. He also has no idea why a microfilm containing a Swiss bank account code is imbedded in his thigh. As he searches for his identity, he is followed by assassins, and wherever he goes he is recognized. It appears that he may be a feared terrorist. This TV miniseries is a good (and faithful) rendition of Robert Ludlum's novel.

Doppelganger 1969 G, 97 min. Genre: Sci-Fi / Adventure aka: Journey to the Far Side of the Sun

This unusual sci-fi film is entertaining. A new planet is found by a British agency headed by Jason Webb (Patrick Wymark) in the 21st Century. The reason that it had not been found earlier is that it is in an orbit identical to Earth's, but directly opposite Earth on the other side of the Sun. British astrophysicist John Kane (Ian Hendry) and American astronaut Colonel Glenn Ross (Roy Thinnes) set off on an expedition to investigate the phenomenon with interesting results.

Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde 1971 PG, 97 min. Genre: Horror / Thriller
Director: Roy Ward Baker Cast: Ralph Bates, Martine Beswick, Gerald Sim, Lewis Fiander, Neil Wilson, Dorothy Alison, Susan Broderick, Ivor Dean, Philip Madoc, Paul Whitsun-Jones, Irene Bradshaw, Tony Calvin, Virginia Wetherell, Dan Meaden, Geoffrey Kenion
Now, here's an interesting twist to Robert Louis Stevenson's tale. Dr. Jekyll (Ralph Bates) is looking for the elixir that will wipe out all diseases; instead, he comes up with a formula that turns him into the beautiful, but evil, woman Sister Hyde (Martine Beswick). Because female hormones are needed for the experiment, prostitutes are lured to their deaths. Finally, Dr. Jekyll tries to fight off the ever increasing dominance of Sister Hyde, but his efforts may be too late. A good performance by Beswick–and she even looks somewhat like Bates.
