John (James LeGros) is in his thirties, unemployed, and still trying to decide what to do with his life. Various characters come in and out of this life–set in post Rodney King-induced riots in L.A.–representing people from that era. He falls even farther down in the mire when he joins a group of reactionaries. This politically left-leaning non-story has its roots in the attitudes of the poor people of L.A. and shows right-wingers as people to hate.
