Recently released from prison, Git Hynes (Peter McDonald) gets into a fight with gangsters and, as a result of his actions, owes the crime boss Tom French (Tony Doyle) a favor: take Bunny Kelly (Brendan Gleeson) along to snatch Frank Grogan (Peter Caffrey) out of enemy hands and bring him back to French. BUT Grogan is a reluctant passenger on the return trip and tries to play Hynes against Kelly and vice versa.
