The 3 Worlds of Gulliver   1960     2 stars    N/R, 100 min.
Genre: Adventure
Director: Jack Sher
Cast: Kerwin Mathews, Jo Morrow, June Thorburn, Lee Patterson, Gregoire Aslan, Basil Sydney, Charles Lloyd Pack, Martin Benson, Mary Ellis, Peter Bull

This version of the Jonathan Swift classic tale is entertaining, as the shipwrecked Gulliver (Kerwin Mathews) ends up in the small, small world of the Lilliputians followed by visiting the land of Brobdignag, home of the giants. Most of Swift's biting satire is missing, though some is retained. The young ones should like it.

[Full Title: "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb."] Peter Sellers plays three roles (U.S. President, British officer, and nuclear scientist) in this farce about dropping the nuclear bomb. Slim Pickens plays Major T.J. "King" Kong, a U.S. pilot flying his bomber loaded with nuclear weapons when he receives orders to attack the Soviet Union. The other planes are recalled or shot down, but Kong evades the missiles shot at him and completes his mission in a very unique way. This movie is both thought-provoking and amusing. The film received four Academy Award nominations (Best Picture, Actor (Sellers), Director, and Writing). A real classic.
