Eleven-year-old Alex Cole (Johnny Morina) and his friends love to dress up and play "knights and castles" in the backyard. Then, one day Alex discovers King Arthur's legendary sword, and Merlin the Magician (Malcolm McDowell) appears on the scene announcing that, with possession of the sword, Alex has gained awesome powers. At first, Alex abuses his powers, but when hoods kidnap Alex's friend Jenny (Maggie Castle), Alex comes to the rescue.
