Plans go awry when, after Eric marries June, Stella is found murdered. Molinar kills Hasso to get the map, but, unbeknownst to Hammer, the map has been hidden in Hammer's office. Now the thugs wreck Hammer's office looking for the map. When that search fails, they beat up Hammer who has no idea of where the map is. Meanwhile, nightclub singer Maxine (Anne Jeffreys) enters the picture, and she and Hammer become romantically involved. The question is whether or not Maxine is really on Hammer's side in this story of intrigue.
