Brick's family has gathered for Big Daddy's (Rip Torn) 65th birthday when Maggie jumps all over Brick because of his drinking. Hostilities also heat up between Brick and Big Daddy. Then Big Daddy learns that he is dying, and this news leads to more trouble as Big Daddy's children struggle over the legacy of his estate.
