Tom Sawyer 2000 G, 89 min. Genre: Animation / Family / Musical / Adventure
Director: Phil Mendez, Paul Sabella Cast: Rhett Akins, Mark Wills, Lee Ann Womack, Alecia Elliott, Betty White, Richard Kind, Hank Williams Jr., Don Knotts, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, Hynden Walch, Clea Lewis, Dean Haglund, Kevin Michael Richardson, Dee Bradley Baker
In this animated adventure based on Mark Twain's classic novel, the characters are presented as animals. For example, Tom (voice of Rhett Akins) and Becky (voice of Lee Ann Womack) are cats, while Huck (voice of Mark Wills) is a fox. As in Twain's story, Tom falls in love with Becky; Tom and Huck step in and save the accused after witnessing a murder; and, of course, they find that buried treasure. The young ones should like this toe-tapping, western-music filled with songs by Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, and Lee Ann Womack.
