  Once again, Jack London's story is brought to the screen in this TV version of the tale of gold prospectors in Alaska and their relationships with their dogs. Prospectors John Thornton and Francois (John Beck and Bernard Fresson) buy a stolen dog, "Buck," and battle the frozen Klondike in their search for gold. But, problems may lie ahead as Buck appears ready to listen to the call of the wild and run off on his own.
