Matt Damon is back as ex-assassin Jason Bourne in this third episode of Robert Ludlum's tale. Suffering from amnesia, trained assassin Bourne leaves Moscow on a quest to put together the puzzle pieces that will lead to his identity and past. A London newspaper article written by Simon Ross (Paddy Considine) offers a ray of light into Bourne's true identity, and Bourne contacts Ross. This begins the trek back during which Bourne connects again with CIA agent Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) who comes to his aid. But, CIA agent Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), who heads the covert Blackbriar wing, wants to cover all tracks and orders Bourne's assassination. And the deadly cat and mouse game continues–culminating in the Big Apple with Vosen directing the bloody action using a surveillance-camera system. British director Paul Greengrass presents this documentary-style re-enactment of events, based on honest assumptions of passengers' reactions that day on September 11, 2001, when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania. The story flashes back and forth between air traffic control centers and the flight itself as ordinary people were caught in a dire situation during which they colllectively determined to resist the terrorists now flying the plane by rushing the cockpit–or die trying to accomplish their heroic deed. The film recieved two Oscar nominations, including Best Director.
