  The thrill of piracy on the high seas is brought to the screen in this film about beautiful Morgan Adams (Geena Davis) who is the daughter of a pirate. Because the map is printed in Latin, Morgan joins forces with a well-educated slave, William Shaw (Matthew Modine), who can interpret the map. It isn't long before Morgan discovers that her nasty uncle, Dawg Brown (Frank Langella), is also searching for pieces of the map, and a battle ensues with lots of sword-fighting action.
