Ed is a chimpanzee that teaches farm-boy Jack Cooper (Matt LeBlanc) a thing or two about the game of baseball. Jack gets nervous when pitching for his class A minor league team, the Santa Rosa Rockets, and Ed, who is the team mascot, is moved up to the position of third baseman in an effort to inspire Jack and his teammates.
