Charlie Chan (Warner Oland) is hired by a French museum to find out what is going on when crooks sell valuable Egyptian artifacts on the open market. When Chan arrives in Egypt, he finds mummy wrappings covering the body of a murdered archaeologist. Another murder occurs, but Chan, of course, does solve the mystery. Featured in this film is a very young Rita Cansino–soon to change her name to Rita Hayworth.
