Successful clothing designer Holly G. (Victoria Foyt) owns an upscale boutique in Santa Monica. Holly already has had more than her share of problems with her mother Winnie (Lee Grant) and daughter Coco (Mae Whitman). So, now she faces big problems in both her personal and professional lives. Mother's Day is approaching, and Holly hopes that a big sale will save her boutique. The customers come, and the story revolves around women's obsessions with shopping and clothing, which are revealed when customers confess their uncontrolled shopping habits–all this and a possible romance for Holly in the form of the boyfriend (Rob Morrow) of one of the shoppers as director Henry Jaglom again deals with subjects of women and their obsessions. "Eating" (1990) and and "Babyfever" (1994) are Jaglom's previous films on these obsessions.
