Based on Astrid Lindgren's children's stories, this a a good animated adaptation that follows the upbeat, smart, and mischievous nine-year-old Pippi Longstocking. When Pippi's father, a sea captain, washes overboard during a storm, he tells her to go to their country home and await his return. There she finds new friends (and enemies) and moves from one adventure to another.
