In another adaptation Stevenson's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," Anthony Perkins plays the Doctor who, in this version, turns into a Jack the Ripper-like Mr. Hyde after his monkey knocks over a bottle of ether into some cocaine being used to create a new anesthetic. The resulting fumes do their thing, and Jack is on his way to rid the world of prostitutes.
