Ray offers Dave redemption if he cleans up the mess, and the two warm up to each other when they realize they are both lonely souls. Dave's father (Timothy Hutton) is emotionally detached from his family, and Ray asks Dave to pose as his son for his 40th high-school reunion.

The second story, "Nonfiction," involves an aspiring filmmaker (Mike Schank) who follows a high-school senior (Mark Webber) around with a video camera, capturing moments within his dysfunctional family.
