  In this political satire, a soldier, Joe (Ralph Fiennes), befriends political prisoner Thorne (Donald Sutherland) who teaches Joe about corruption within his government. Thorne recruits Joe to aid in the cause, and they work together–until the revolution succeeds, and Joe finds himself in the middle of a nightmare that will only stop when Thorne is eliminated.
