Meanwhile, their apartment is small, and they have bought the apartment next door and are waiting for their 91-year-old tenant, Andra (Ann Morgan Guilbert), to die so that they can knock out a wall and use Andra's apartment to enlarge their living space. Kate tries to make friends with Andra and her granddaughters Mary and Rebecca (Amanda Peete and Rebecca Hall), but they do not cooperate in this story about middle-class values.
