Set in France during the 1950s, this is the story of young Patrick (Gregory Diallo) who is infatuated by American culture, although Americans were not popular with the French during the post-war occupation. In fact, Patrick and his girlfriend Marie-Jose (Josephine Serre) intend to migrate to America when they grow up. As the years pass, Patrick (now played by Nicolas Chatel) still loves Marie-Jose (now played by Sarah Grappin) and the American way of life, but his rebellious nature results in tragedy. Not a flattering look at Americans.
