Based on the comic book character, this is the story of Doctor Alec Holland's (Ray Wise) strange odyssey during which he turns himself into the slimy title character. During the confusion, Alice escapes with Arcane in pursuit, and she is rescued by a green man who is actually Holland transformed by his formula into the Swamp Thing (Dick Durock).
