Now, Joanna returns planning to take custody of Billy, but Ted refuses to give him up, and a custody battle ensues. The film won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Dustin Hoffman), Best Supporting Actress (Meryl Streep), and Writing.
