Teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) loves comic books and decides to become a superhero. He orders a costume on the Internet, names his alter-ego "Kick Ass," and sets off to fight evil. He becomes a YouTube sensation and joins forces with vigilantes Big Daddy (Nicholas Cage) and Big Daddy's daughter Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) who are on the trail of mobster Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong). Soon, Kick-Ass and Frank's son Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who has his own superhero persona of RedMist, become arch-enemies, and a showdown seems to be inevitable.
