Olivier also received a nomination for Best Director, and Simmons was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

It was the only 'ancient spectacle' of the '50s that possesed not only spectacle and charm but also a highly romantisized atmosphere of this ancient world. And without Max Steiners PERFECT score, this couldn't have been achieved. |
