  Brian (Graham Chapman) was born the same time as Jesus Christ, and it is his misfortune that three wise men mistake him for the Savior. Although Brian does try, but fails, to convince the Romans that he is not the Messiah, he finds himself being chased either by the adoring believers or government officials and spends most of his time running from them. The Monty Python gang (Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, and Terry Gilliam) take on multiple roles in this comedy.
