Murders take place, and when Andy tells people that Chucky did it, no one pays attention. Andy's mother Karen (Catherine Hicks) asks Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon) to investigate. Because Mike is romantically interested in Karen, he agrees even though he does not believe Andy's stories–until Chucky starts to strangle him. Sequels follow.

As they proceed along the way, more and more people try to stop them in the belief they are carrying the Devil that will be released into the Bermuda Triangle at the start of the new millenium. An interesting supporting cast.
