  New York City radio personality Erica Bain's (Jodie Foster) life takes a brutal change of direction after she and her fiance David (Naveen Andrews) are beaten by thugs in Central Park. Three weeks later, Erica awakens from a coma and learns that David is dead. Paranoia and rage set in. Erica buys a gun off the street and begins her own crusade as a vigilante shooting those abusing the law. Through her acts, she gains celebrity status. On the trail of the celebrity vigilante is Detective Mercer (Terrence Howard) who had first seen Erica when she was in the hospital. They become friends, but as the friendship grows Mercer begins to suspect that there is more to sweet, fragile Erica than meets the eye.

Now, in 1944, following his World War II plane crash, the count, nursed by Canadian Hana (Juliette Binoche), remembers events leading to the accident in which he was badly burned. The movie won an impressive nine Oscars, including Best Picture, Director, and Supporting Actress (Binoche).

Quentin Tarantino presents "Death Proof"–a story about stunt-car driver Mike (Kurt Russell) who is now a psycho killer playing deadly vehicle games. But tables are turned when he targets four women on a road trip and gets more than he bargained for.
