  London psychiatrist Dr. Clive Riordan (Robert Newton) traps American Bill Kronin (Phil Brown) in a cellar when he catches Kronin having an affair with his wife, Storm (Sally Gray). It appears to be a perfect crime because it is believed that Kronin simply disappeared. Meanwhile, Clive is preparing an acid bath to dispose of Bill's body after he kills him. But, once again, there is a flaw in the "perfect crime." This time, it is Storm's pet dog that follows Clive to the hiding place.
