Russia's KAOS boss Siegfried (Terence Stamp) attacks CONTROL's headquarters and creates a huge security leak revealing the cover of CONTROL's agents. CONTROL's Chief (Alan Arkin) teams the agency's star analyst Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) with superspy Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway) and sends them to Russia to investigate. Supporting them at home is Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson) who is now known by KAOS and would not be able to work undercover there. Smart bumbles his way through the investigation, but he and Agent 99 uncover a plot to smuggle nuclear material and then return to the United States to save the world.

Dustin (Jason Biggs) is Tank's roommate, and he needs help with his relationship with Alexis (Kate Hudson) who "just wants to be friends." Dustin asks for Tank's help, and Tank offers to come to the rescue. But, on their date, Alexis calls Tank's bluff, and now Tank finds himself falling in love with his "Best Friend's Girl."
