  After recovering from drug addiction and a family tragedy, disgraced district attorney Steven Luisi (Tom Berenger) tries for a career comeback. His investigation leads to thug Richard Allen (Sticky Fingaz), and they team up and take on the gang leader Al Bowen (Busta Rhymes) and the corrupt police department as well.

  All his life, Phil (Will Ferrell) failed at any sport his father, Buck (Robert Duvall), pushed at him. Ten years later, both boys end up on Buck's soccer team, but Buck trades grandson Sam (Dylan McLaughlin) to the worst team in the league. Phil, determined not to have the father/son relationship he endured, decides to step in and coach Sam's losing team. He enlists the aid of Mike Ditka (played by himself), and the team starts winning. But, in the process, Phil changes into the tyrannical coach/father he had seen in Buck. Who will win the championship?
