Based on a true story, this film relates the violence and horror of Alcatraz Prison. Inmate Henri Young (Kevin Bacon) should never have been there in the first place because his crime was stealing five dollars from the post office. Young tries to escape but is captured and brought back to Alcatraz where he now spends three years and two months in solitary confinement. Upon release from solitary, Young kills another inmate. During his murder trial, Young's lawyer, James Stamphill (Christian Slater), claims that Alcatraz turned his client into a homicidal maniac. 1 User Review
