If Mosley fails to reach the courthouse by 10:00 A.M., the case will be dismissed, which is exactly what Jack's colleagues want because, as Jack learns while making the delivery, Bunker is scheduled to testify against the police officers. They are determined to kill Bunker before he reaches his destination, and suddenly Jack realizes that the length of those 16 blocks may be endless.

One day, Mr. Fletcher takes off to check out the competition and tells Mike that his friend Jerry (Jack Black) is not allowed in the store. But, Jerry does arrive and, without knowing it, erases all the store's tapes. (His brain had been magnetized the day before when he tried to sabotage a nearby power plant.) A store regular, Miss Falewicz (Mia Farrow) comes in and threatens to tell on them if she cannot have a working copy of "Ghostbusters" by the end of the day. The solution to their problem: Mike and Jerry recreate films–including "Ghostbusters," "The Lion King," and "Back to the Future"–using themselves and neighbors as actors. The shop does a great business when the clients are thrilled with the remakes and ask for more.

The story is narrated by Willie Dixon (Cedric the Entertainer) and follows the lives of the talented performers who recorded their songs at Chess Records studio.
