This story is based on the infamous "Stanford Prison Experiment" in which students were assigned to play either prisoners or guards in a lab prison. Almost from the beginning, prisoners become defiant, and guards employ humiliation tactics. Tarek Fahd (Moritz Bleibtreu) is a journalist who works undercover on a story about the experiment. When Fahd takes on the role of an "inmate," he runs into a conflict with Berus (Justus von Dohnanyi) who is playing a "guard," tensions rise, and the wardens step in to maintain their authority. An interesting study of how absolute power corrupts.
