He heads to an Arizona town where he tries to clean up the corruption–in the form of crooked Sheriff Lloyd Grover (Barton MacLane) and saloon proprietor Dan Shelby (John Ireland). When Travis' efforts fail, he resorts to violent methods to achieve his goal.

Roy Rogers and his pals are traveling through town on their way to the Cheyenne Rodeo. Roy investigates, solves the murder after finding a calf with symptoms of the disease, and even has time to sing a few songs.
