  Set in a 1940s' French Canadian mining town during the Christmas season, this is a coming-of-age story of 14-year-old orphan Benoit (Jacques Gagnon) who lives with his Aunt Cecile (Olivette Thibault) and Uncle Antoine (Jean Duceppe). The film won several awards from the Canadian Film Institute, including Best Picture and Director.
