The police investigate, but North, who knows that Malik killed Tyler, keeps silent. It isn't until later that North challenges Malik to a showdown in a one-on-one fight to avenge Tyler's death.

This gets the boss more than a little upset, and he sends a killer after Davy. Now Davy and Gloria are on the run. A fair film noir in an early Kubrick effort.
